People | Bailey Edward Staff Awarded with FAIA
On February 12th, the 2016 Jury of Fellows from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) elevated 149 AIA members to its prestigious College of Fellows; two design for Bailey Edward: Founding Principal Ellen Bailey Dickson and Historic Preservation Leader Susan Doreen Turner. Out of the 88,000 AIA members, there are only 3,200 members distinguished with this honor.
“Influential leader Ellen Dickson advances the profession through exemplary practice management. She leads stakeholder engagement in civic architecture, elevates the role of the architect in the community; and ardently mentors women architects for leadership roles.”
“Through investigation, innovation and dissemination, Susan Doreen Turner positions historic buildings as “Renewable Resources for Our Age.” Her problem-solving methodology, pioneering solutions, and global lecturing and writing have created new standards in sustainable preservation.”
All of the 2016 Fellows will be honored at an investiture ceremony at the 2016 National AIA Convention in Philadelphia. To send congratulations or to schedule a time to meet at the convention, connect with Ellen and Susan via LinkedIn.
