Naperville Regional Center Awarded Outstanding Design
Bailey Edward’s transformative design of the College of DuPage’s Naperville Regional Center was awarded an Outstanding Design award in the Renovation/Modernization category by American School & University. BE reimagined the 1990’s era regional facility in the main campus’ modernist image with the remnants of the school’s bond referendum money while simultaneously catering to the technology heavy demands of modern education.
The new design creates a welcoming space for students, educators, and staff. The old building was closed off and austere in appearance. Colorful interiors enliven the space and direct the eye throughout the newly opened interior. Glass walls and gathering spaces, both formal and informal, encourage collaboration and a sense of community.
