Here at Bailey Edward, we applaud the hard work that our employees put in at our four offices every day. From draftspeople to market sector leaders, the ambition and dedication to providing responsive architecture and engineering is something in which we take much pride.
There are times, however, when our employees surpass these already amplified standards we have set and their work is recognized by outside organizations. This was the case for not one, but two Bailey Edward team members in recent months.
Laurie Goscha, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, serves as manager of our Rhinelander, Wisconsin office as an Associate Principal. Her accolades are countless, but will now also include Industry Director for the Society of American Military Engineers Illini Post.
“I was certainly surprised and humbled by this appointment,” said Goscha. “Providing architecture and engineering services for military facilities has been a passion of mine for many years and I look forward to providing my services to the Society of American Military Engineers organization.”
Also appointed to a new post this past month was Bailey Edward’s Managing Principal and President, Ellen Dickson, AIA, LEED AP. She has been called upon to serve as an Illinois Delegate on the American Institute of Architect’s (AIA) Chicago Board of Directors.
As an Illinois Delegate to this storied AIA chapter, Ellen will participate in meetings with legislators and fellow AIA cohorts, as well as championing AIA national legislative agendas including unfreezing credit to allow for more development, tax relief for small businesses and green building tax deductions.
“Policy can impact our profession, so I relish the opportunity to understand what kind of policy is brewing,” said Dickson.
Our sincerest congratulations go out to Laurie and Ellen.
