Historic Urbana Armory: The Renovation Tour



Ms. Laurie Goscha of the Bailey Edward will be providing a presentation of the recently completed project, “Renovation of the Historic Urbana Armory in Urbana, Illinois”. Laurie will show how sustainability and energy concepts can be implemented to meet current building demands while maintaining a building's historic character. The presentation will include a detailed discussion of specific LEED credits sought and design solutions utilized. Following the presentation, Laurie will lead the attendees on a brief tour of the facility highlighting the sustainable solutions implemented.

Ms. Goscha is a registered Architect in Illinois and Wisconsin and is a LEED Accredited Professional with specialization in Building Design & Construction at Bailey Edward. Ms. Goscha has additional training and expertise in Project Management, Anti-Terrorism / Force Protection Standards and Value Management. As an Associate Value Specialist, Ms. Goscha facilitates value management workshops and provides clients with functional project solutions that meet each client's unique definition of value.

Is there a cost:
Lunches from Jimmy John's will be ordered. Meals will include an 8" sub, chips, cookie, and a soft drink. The cost is $10 per person. Checks can be made out to SAME Illini Post and brought to the meeting.
