Story:

Out in Fox River Grove, our engineers are hard at work on a variety of projects working for BE and other architects and contractors. Last week was National Engineers Week and we’re celebrating by announcing that our engineers were awarded the Illinois Math and Science Academy (IMSA) Heating and Cooling Systems Replacement project with the Capital Development Board.

Established in 1976, IMSA is one of the leading public schools in the country. It’s 10-building campus includes the main two-story learning facility and multiple dormitories for the students. The buildings require assessment, recommendation and design for the HVAC system deficiencies throughout campus. Next, prioritization of repairs, replacements, and testing and balancing will help the school move forward.

The BE engineers will lead the team as MEP experts in HVAC systems. Moreover, our engineers are familiar with IMSA’s mechanical systems, having completed the renovation of the school’s northwest B-wing laboratories and classrooms last fall. Last year, Bailey Edward completed a site-utilization plan for IMSA and we’re excited to continue to grow our relationships with the school and the Capital Development board!
