Community | AACA Gala Honors BE Client

On March 7th Bailey Edward staff members Kevin Schnebly, Omar Bailey and Zach Clark attended the African American Contractors Association (AACA) 25th Annual Membership and Awards Gala. The AACA is an organization that works to promote and develop African American contractors businesses through workshops on various subjects that provide continuous training to help businesses compete effectively, and by facilitating relationships and networking within the industry and community. The event took place at the South Shore Cultural Center with Rev. Jesse Jackson as the keynote speaker.

“During that event I met a number of African American Contractors and financial advisors that are helping to rebuild their community and they can’t do it alone. They need the help of Related Midwest and other organizations. I’m proud BE has joined this fight to redevelop Chicago and bring life back to the beautiful buildings and communities.” – Omar Bailey, BE Associate Principal

This year at the AACA Gala, Related Midwest’s Mark Goeden was recognized as the AACA’s Outstanding Section Developer of the Year for his active support and work to grow economic opportunities for minority- and women-owned businesses throughout Chicago.

“All in all it gave me an understanding of how much Related Midwest does to support Minority and Small Businesses. You could really tell that they are making a real impact by being involved.” – Kevin Schnebly, Champaign Branch Manager

For over seven years, Bailey Edward has worked closely with Mark and Related Midwest on their senior housing projects in Illinois and Minnesota. The BE team was proud to support Mark, the AACA, and Related Midwest that night.

“It is inspiring to work with people and associations like these that positively impact the community in all they do.” – Zach Clark, BE Project Manager
