Projects | Order in the Courts
They say all good things must come to an end. For the Bailey Edward team, that means finishing up our extensive restoration and renovation work on several historic courthouses for the General Services Administration. During our time working on these projects, Bailey Edward performed exterior condition inspections and restoration in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and South Bend.
In order to best preserve the each building’s façades historic integrity, Bailey Edward conducted our work using cutting edge technology. Digital laser scanning was used to capture intricate details of each building in order to draw accurate plans and elevations of the existing conditions alongside infrared thermography as part of our non-destructive testing efforts. Along with existing data and records of previous repair reports gathered, the Bailey Edward team discovered several deficiencies along with recommendations on how to thoroughly restore the exteriors and to make sure their beauty would remain.
Our restoration efforts ensure that these courthouses, which symbolize the enduring and rooted strength of our justice system and rich history, will continue to stand and be marveled at for years to come.
