Bailey Edward provided architectural and engineering services at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center to renovate and remodel an existing sleep laboratory and its nine patient rooms into seven in-patient rooms, two bariatric rooms for the critically overweight and a new nurse area.
 
The existing double-occupancy sleep laboratory rooms were converted into single occupancy in-patient use and the three existing patient rooms were converted into two bariatric rooms with private toilets. Ceiling mounted lifts are incorporated into each room for patient accommodations.

Bailey Edward also reconfigured of central portion of one wing to accommodate a new nurse station, medication room, nourishment room, storage room and new ADA accessible on-call room. Finish upgrades were made to one existing on-call room and additional upgrades were made to corridor finishes.
