Community | BE Staff Enjoy the Holidays
Although only a few weeks ago, the holidays already seem a world away, Bailey Edward (BE) rang in the New Year with fun and family. BE staff took full advantage of their time off for the holidays this year, braving the frigid temperatures of Chicago, scattering across the states and several even ventured farther north!
Susan Turner traveled home to Winnipeg, Canada where the temperature was a high of -27°F, not including wind chill. “It was a little brisk,” she said. It was so cold, sun dogs appeared, which is a reflection of sunlight with the ice crystals in the air. Sara Gaum also traveled to Canada to show off her alma mater, McGill University, and Montreal to her husband. Staff embraced outdoor activities by skiing in Colorado, visiting the Christkindlmarket, snowmobiling and hunting for days in the woods. Two traveled up to Minnesota, one to visit family, another to ride the rollercoasters at the Mall of America.
Some, maybe more sane, chose to stay inside and bake cookies and other holiday treats, sit by the fire, and enjoy time with family that came into town. Others retreated to warmer climates such as Florida, Arkansas, Las Vegas and South India! Enjoy our holiday photo gallery!
